José Fernando García Castillo graduated in English Studies at the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón (Spain) in 2004. After his graduation, he was granted a FPU scholarship. Since then, he has been working as a Research Fellow at the Department of English Language of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón, where he is writing his M.A. dissertation.
His current research focuses on the analysis of the conceptualization in typologically distant languages. More specifically, he explores constructions in both English and Japanese languages under the light of the Lexical Constructional Model.
Recently he has presented two papers at the SLE International Conference in Joensuu (Finland). In September 2007 he visited an intensive course of Japanese at the LMU Universität of Munich. During the months of October and November 2007 he will be carrying out some research at the Japan-Zentrum of the LMU Universität (Munich).
He speaks English, French and German. At the moment he is teaching Dialectology at the Universitat Jaume I.
He has been a member of Lexicom since February 2006.
