Biodata Noelia Jiménez

Noelia Jiménez Martínez-Losa graduated in English Studies at the University of La Rioja (Spain) in 2003. Since then, she has been working as a Research Fellow at the Department of Modern Languages of the University of La Rioja, where she wrote her M.A. dissertation, entitled A Cognitive Linguistics Approach to the Conceptualization of Motion in English: New Perspectives.

Her current research focuses on the analysis of the conceptual domain of motion from a Cognitive Linguistics perspective, and more specifically, under the light of the Lexical Constructional Model.

Her publications have appeared in specialized journals, and she has also presented papers at international conferences, such as the International Conferences of the Spanish Applied Linguistics Association, RaAM 6: Researching and Applying Metaphor Conference, or the International Conferences of the French Association for Cognitive Linguistics.

She has been the Associate Editor of the ‘Annual Review of Cognitive Linguistics’ since 2006.
